Likewise Newton guitars holds a fantastic range of guitars from 1/4 size classicals at just £45 to Gibson Custom shop, not forgetting our latest addition of a collectors wall where you can browse and buy historic & collectible guitars from just £200.
Our High Street shop is separated into three unique departments with violin, viola & cello available to try in our dedicated 'orchestral' rooms. The guitar room offers both acoustic & electric models aswell as a good range of Amplifiers and includes an 'Acoustic Booth' which enables acoustic guitars to be demonstrated & tested in a clear and tranquil space and electric guitar & amps to be checked out to their full potential without disturbing other shoppers.
Not forgetting our music room which offers literally thousands of title for all instruments & our on-site workshops for all your repair & restoration needs.

The Art of the Session Guitar - Part 2
With Bob Cranham & Phil Horne
Join us as Bob & Phil turn Newtons into a virtual recording studio to demonstrate the skills of the session guitarist & studio engineer. Bob will show how to overdub guitars to create the multi-layerd sound we all take for granted every time we listen to our favourite tracks.
To make things a little more interesting it will be you - the audience who helps write the piece we will record!

Whats Been Happening?
March 16th 2013 - National 'Learn to Play' day. We had a fantastic day with FREE one to one taster lessons available to all for Violin, Viola, Cello, Guitar, Ukulele, Bass & Recorder. We had a great turn out on the day - over 25 lessons were given & discount vouchers for subsequent purchases were given out to all who took part.
February 28th 2013 - We were delighted to have Gibson Guitars to host the February Guitar club event. The USA test drive demonstrated not only some of the new models in the Gibson 2013 range but included a presentation on how the guitars are made and an array of 'body parts' to see how the making process looks in real life. We were delighted with the turn out - we even had to ticket the event & turn people away!
